This one hour biographical documentary about Gareth Hughes, Wales's first film star, was made using my research. Not only did I make available over 10 years of well documented research but I also accompanied the production crew on the 2 week shoot in California, Nevada, Washington and New York. Using my intimate and considerable knowledge of the subject I was able to introduce the producer to many people with whom I had corresponded and to verify the locations which were relevant to the story. My presence on the shoot enabled us to conduct ongoing, valuable discussion and evaluation of the subject crucial to the presenter's script and the overall way in which the story was portrayed. I viewed silent film footage in the Library of Congress and made selection recommendations to the producer and conducted further research at the New York Public Library.
